ABOUT US:
The Center of Renewed Promises is an outpatient addiction treatment for individuals who are struggling with opioids. Our team of addiction treatment specialists has the experience needed to help clients no matter where they are on the journey to recovery. Many individuals struggle with physical and psychological reliance on opioids and are unaware of the truly life-altering benefits of an intensive outpatient program. Don’t allow the disappointment of your encounter to overcome you because there is light at the end of the tunnel. We put Medicated-Assisted Treatment front and center, providing a whole-patient approach with counseling and behavioral therapies. MAT is primarily used for the treatment of addictions to opioids such as heroin and prescription plan relievers that contain opiates. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care using evidence-based therapeutic models that reduce opioid dependence. MAT is a treatment only for opiate addiction.
Overcoming addiction can happen on your terms with the care that you need through an outpatient rehab center. Our approach enables you to receive first-rate treatment on a flexible schedule. We strive to reduce mortality, risk of overdose, injection of drugs, STDS, criminal activity and improve family stability.
WHAT IS METHADONE?
Methadone is a synthetic opioid that blocks the effects of heroin and prescription drugs containing opiates. Used successfully for more than 40 years, methadone has been shown to successfully assist in recovering from opiate addiction.
Methadone works by “occupying” the brain receptor sites affected by heroin and other opiates.
The benefits of methadone treatment include:
- Blocking of the euphoric and sedating effects of opiates.
- Reduced risk of overdose and of acquiring or transmitting diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B or C, bacterial infections, endocarditis, soft tissue infections, thrombophlebitis, tuberculosis, and STDs.
- Reduced mortality – the median death rate of opiate-dependent individuals in MMT is 30 percent of the rate of those not in MMT.
- Possible reduction in sexual risk behaviors, although evidence on this point is conflicting.
- Reduced Criminal Activity.
- Improved family stability
- Employment Potential
- Improved Pregnancy Outcomes.
